Day 6 & 7

Our trip is almost over and we are trying to enjoy our last moments. Yesterday was a travel day, so it was a bit slower. We made our way in the bus to the Pacific Coast. The roads are pretty winding and feisty so it's hard on some people's stomachs. I think Nurul got it the first travel day, then Victor was hit with it, and Bianca got it this time. But I can say that we are a quick and quiet group of throw-uppers, no complaining or huge messes. Just a bag to the face and then it's back to business.

On the way to our hotel, we stopped at Carara park and instead of a hike we did the crocodile safari boat tour. The river we went was a little trashy, but we did get to see a lot of birds and crocodiles. Probably the coolest was seeing the driver get out and feed them raw chicken..some good video and pics of that. After that we got to our hotel and were able to enjoy the view and the pool. Meals are served next to the ocean and we all seem to love the pool. Bianca might be the winner of water princess though.

Today was a water day too. We left early in the morning for a national park. The boys almost missed it by over sleeping though! We had to hike to get to the beach and then enjoyed the waves of the Pacific. The sun crept out a little but for the most part it was a cloudy day which made it easy to stay in the water for long periods. We all got out though when the monikers came for lunch! They were funny things...they would steal food from people and eat their goods in the trees. I'm sure Jared or Griffin got a picture of the whilte faced monkey drinking a snatched juice box or stolen bag of fritos. I don't think we were ready to leave there but when we got back to the pool some of us went straight to the pool again and I was convinced (coerced) to join them.

Tomorrow we leave for Sarchi where we are supposed to be able to do a lot of shopping and then have our folklore performances in the evening.

  2. Thanks! The drive hit Nurul this time, but everyone else was ok. I think Victor was shopped out after the first stop! Mostly he's just dealing with technology withdrawal since his iPad is out of commission.
